Who we are
PSG Africa is a Technical Turnkey Solutions provider headquartered in Gauteng, South Africa, serving the SADC region and the broader African continent. We are the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”) for personal information collected through this website at psgafrica.co.za.
What we collect
- Contact details you submit via our forms: name, surname, work email, phone (optional), company, role, country, site type, modules of interest, and the message you send.
- Site interaction telemetry: pages you visit, anonymous session identifiers, the kind of device you use (browser + operating system family), and country/region derived from your IP at the moment of access. We do not store your raw IP address or your full user-agent string.
- Cookies: one strictly necessary session cookie to remember your state across pages. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Third-party processors
We may use the following third-party services to support the site. None of these services receive personally identifying form data (name, email, message) — only the technical metadata listed below.
- ipapi.co — when you submit a contact enquiry, we send your IP address to ipapi.co to look up the country, region, and city of your connection. The IP is discarded immediately after the lookup; only the derived country / region / city is stored. We are progressively replacing this with a fully local lookup (MaxMind GeoLite2) which keeps your IP on our server.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, and — only if you tell us — to follow up about PSG Africa solutions that fit your operation.
How long we keep it
Active retention is 24 months from the date of your last interaction. After that, identifiers are anonymised; aggregate, non-identifiable statistics may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.
Your POPIA rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing activities (POPIA s23–25). Email info@psgafrica.co.za with the subject line “POPIA Request — [Your name]”. We respond within 30 days.
Information Officer
